In the past few weeks, more and more reports are coming in of website owners who are receiving warnings from google regarding “artificial” – “unnatural” links pointing to their website. This is something that is taking SEO experts and website owners, straight back to the drawing board.
Traditionally speaking, there’s always been some degree of input by the Google Webmasters team when it comes to “blackhat” SEO where they sometimes reach out to website owners regarding possible unethical Search Engine Optimization techniques being done by their SEO company.

Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. Examples of unnatural linking could include buying links to pass PageRank
These messages come on the heels of Google’s latest crackdown against several blog network/link rings. It’s speculated that these messages aren’t because of Google rolling out a new algorithm, rather, it’s simply Google being vocal to website owners about information that normally wouldn’t be told to website owners in the past. It seems that Google has decided to become more vocal, and make it’s actions more visible to website owners, especially when it comes to blackhat, and illegitimate SEO techniques to increase your websites rankings.
